i am very very much against dieting. i believe in a healthy balanced diet.
it really fucking pisses me off when people restrict themselves from eating full meals, or as much as they need.
in the past, people always praise me, how i am able to "naturally" loose 10 lbs. the way i do it is concious consumption. no cookies, no ice cream, no white starchy food. basically i eat foods that benifit me. and exercise.
i like to hike and swim and bike ride. but i'm going to stress and worry about it. maybe i am a little biased because i've never been "over weight" and i am thankful i have never been but let's take it all into consideration.
i eat when i want. i eat healthy most of the time. vegetarian since age 11 - not saying that meat eaters can't eat a healthy balanced diet but i feel like if i eat to eat meat i'd probably want more greecey food and fast food just because they all kind of go together. faltering vegan starting at age 15 - back to dairy weeks (?) maybe a month after first attempting veganism. now at age 19, my basic diet consists of brown rice, black beans, broccoli, chickpeas, oranges, bananas, and soy milk. of course there is more than that but without those foods i wouldn't be the way i am.
and concious eating leads me to feel much more connected to my body and the environment. even when i'm sick, like as of now, i still feel in control. well semi.
i don't know. i just really firmly believe that if people want to loose weight they shouldn't stride themselves over eating two meals a day rather than three. there's a lot of things that bother me about society and this "ideal" body image. it's all wrong.
really. ugh!
my advice for people wanting to loose weigh would be eat healthy, that's the best possible way you can achieve your ideal weight is eat healthy (ier). seriously. grocery shopping for example, while buying grocerys you should ask yourself "will this food benifit my health?" make sure you get enough protien and vitamins. exericising is important.
i'm sort of a hypocrite when it comes to that, but exercising is very important. yoga, running, walking even. just being physical in general is good. and that is something, i need to work on. i find it hard to get out in the colder season, but in the summer i'm all over the place. so this summer when i went down to 130 to 124 i wasn't very suprised since i was hiking nearly every day or biking or walking all over the place.
another thing don't obsses. i don't even own a scale. bad scales. weigh yourself at the gym.
i better stop. you don't need to listen to me especially since i've never actually studied health but this is my experience.
and that's my health rant for the day.
