Hanukkah
(i know there are several of you on here who are interested and are overall fans of dreadlocks- - - - - this post is for you)
I was the first to do this with his hair and now he does it all the time . . . I can't believe how long his hair has gotten since the first time i met him.  it's crazy to look back at old pictures - his locks weren't even down to his shoulders and now they are past his nipples.

thick thick man dreads. yum.

i want apple pie, damnit!

when i first met this boy, he gave me a slice of his homemade "vegan apple pie made with organic ingredients." he made the pie mostly for his professors since it was the end of the spring semester when we first met.

now that apples are in season, i am craving a warm slice of his apple pie. maybe for my birthday he will make me some. last year he made me a raw apple pie but this year, i want a baked one.

i took some amazing, gorgeous pictures of this stud today, but that's all you get now because we are going to dinner!

I'm home after three weeks.  Nice.

I'm feeling quite good and relaxed.

Flickr is down right now so no pictures for now.  I did however just uploaded 10+ videos.  What do you guys want to see?

Here are a few......

This video was taken at the house upstate before we left for Ottawa.  So beautiful.

This is a video of David and I driving around downtown Ottawa.  We're driving behind a hummer and we pass by a strip club.

This is a video of the centennial flame and the Parliament buildings.

If you want to see more of my little home videos, you can visit my youtube page

Tell me what you think!!!

A quick background story:  When David and I first started going out we'd eat bananas almost every morning we spent together.  Like a lot.  This video was taken one early morning when we went up to the mountains together.
It's taken around the time we met, beginning of the summer 2006.  I sound evil, don't I?  Anyway, I found this tonight while looking through old photos and thought it would be funny to put on youtube.
Enjoy!

Hanukkah

We're heading to the Monastery this morning for day two.  Today is Day of Mindfulness with a whole day of events including a Dharma talk from one of the monks, tea meditation, and a picnic lunch.

I met an Indian man yesterday at the Monastery and he said that both David and I looked like we could've had past lives in India.  Then he looks at me, ME, and says "you definitely have that Indian sparkle in your eye."  !!!!!!Mmm.  India India India........  <<<<3333333
I've decided when I go, I'm going to travel mostly in Southern India.

No dreams about India last night though a dream about my life in Halifax and meeting David occured.  I'm begining to feel I knew him in a past life.

Better go get some fruit before we leave for the Monastery.  Hope everyone has a beautiful Sunday.

HERMAN The Hermit Crab.

So I finally have time to update about our trip to Jersey last weekend. Since we had limited time we tried to get lots done. We went go karting, went on my favorite ride that shoots up in the air 100 feet, took beach walks, cooked and ate tasty food, went shopping, and the most amazing spectacular thing ever: saved a hermit crab.

We named him Hermie Jesus!
a photo story... )

okay, it's a little political. so what?

Yesterday David randomly surprised me at my work. It was cute, he brought me a sunflower, my favorite. I got off work a little bit early which was cool. I'm/we're cosmically generating energy... this cute old man Joel, a customer at the Co-op who is there at least twice a day if not more offered me on Friday two tickets to a showing of Al Gore's new An Inconvenient Truth for my boyfriend and I. The movie was a benefit for the Rosendale Democrats. It was cool because at first when he offered them to me on Friday I said no, I have to work late, my boyfriend isn't around, etc... so Joel appeared the next day after David made an appearance and I showed him the sunflower that David gave me. He asked me if I was still interested in the tickets.......

Anyway so we went out to Rosendale that night. The tickets were really 20$ each since it was a benifit. It was packed. We got there 20 minutes late so we had to sit in the front row. Thankfully there was two seats left. We didn't miss any of the movie since there was speakers... the movie was basically like WAKE UP!! STOP GLOBAL WARMING!! THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM!!
If Al Gore ever runs for prez again he's got my vote. Seriously this movie was a WAKE UP. Polar bears are drowning for the first time in human history because there is no more ice for them. The 10 hottest summers in history are the last 10 years. There's been more hurricanes and nature disasters more than ever before.
Now today at the Co-op I had time to absorb this all from last night. Hey man, it's strawberry season already? No no these can't be local strawberries. Yes, it's true. Global warming man.

So if you get the chance to see An Inconvenient Truth I definitely recommend it! Seriously, they should make kids watch this in school and adults watch it at their work.

The official website is:

http://www.climatecrisis.net

I liked this:
Buy locally grown and produced foods
The average meal in the United States travels 1,200 miles from the farm to your plate. Buying locally will save fuel and keep money in your community.

After the movie last night we went to the Rosendale Cafe from some dinna and the owner was all like "there's a concert here tonight, 10 dollars a person, but I assume you guys just want some dinner?" And we smiled and nodded so he let us in and fed us yummy vegetables and nachos with beans and soy cheese. And we caught some awesome free live music.. it was kind of like mellowed out blue grass. They had my 2nd favorite instrument the banjo, and also the upright bass which was really fun. How cosmic is that?
I'm glad the weekend is over though. I have the next four days off to relax, rejuvenate, heal, and spread the good word.
