Chops

Hanukkah
My dog Chopper is seriously a survivor.

let's see.

She's had her spleen removed.  She survived pancreatitis.  She's had a huge benign tumor doubling the size of one of her back legs  for the last year that she's been fine and coping with.

Yesterday she had an ultrasound and they found cancerous tumors all over her kidney.  And they think it may have already invaded her adrenal gland.  Since she's 14 the vet said surgery was a risky option.  She said she has as little to a few weeks left as long as a few months.

This is my childhood dog we are talking about.  We got her when she was a little over a year old from a friend of the family.

She is great.  She is the best.  My mom was crying a lot last night when she came home from the vet and when I told my sister over the phone she started to cry too.  It's just been one big sob fest over here.

On top of that heavy news, David has been really sick since Saturday night and my mom pulled some muscle during yoga last week that's been hurting a lot physically.

what next?

all I can ask is for a prayer. . .

thank you.
