question/request/thought of the day

  • Feb. 19th, 2006 at 10:44 AM
Hanukkah
why is celibacy so looked down upon in our society? i mean, if you aren't a monk, nun, or priest then you are practically expected to be having sex or doing something of the sort. so when i started to talk about this all, people were like, what, why? not - - good for you!
this is frustrating. the whole act of being celibate is hard enough and the most i can ask for is the support and understanding of my friends and family.
that is all.
thank you and goodbye.
