Hanukkah
Yesterday David randomly surprised me at my work. It was cute, he brought me a sunflower, my favorite. I got off work a little bit early which was cool. I'm/we're cosmically generating energy... this cute old man Joel, a customer at the Co-op who is there at least twice a day if not more offered me on Friday two tickets to a showing of Al Gore's new An Inconvenient Truth for my boyfriend and I. The movie was a benefit for the Rosendale Democrats. It was cool because at first when he offered them to me on Friday I said no, I have to work late, my boyfriend isn't around, etc... so Joel appeared the next day after David made an appearance and I showed him the sunflower that David gave me. He asked me if I was still interested in the tickets.......

Anyway so we went out to Rosendale that night. The tickets were really 20$ each since it was a benifit. It was packed. We got there 20 minutes late so we had to sit in the front row. Thankfully there was two seats left. We didn't miss any of the movie since there was speakers... the movie was basically like WAKE UP!! STOP GLOBAL WARMING!! THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM!!
If Al Gore ever runs for prez again he's got my vote. Seriously this movie was a WAKE UP. Polar bears are drowning for the first time in human history because there is no more ice for them. The 10 hottest summers in history are the last 10 years. There's been more hurricanes and nature disasters more than ever before.
Now today at the Co-op I had time to absorb this all from last night. Hey man, it's strawberry season already? No no these can't be local strawberries. Yes, it's true. Global warming man.

So if you get the chance to see An Inconvenient Truth I definitely recommend it! Seriously, they should make kids watch this in school and adults watch it at their work.

I liked this:
Buy locally grown and produced foods
The average meal in the United States travels 1,200 miles from the farm to your plate. Buying locally will save fuel and keep money in your community.

After the movie last night we went to the Rosendale Cafe from some dinna and the owner was all like "there's a concert here tonight, 10 dollars a person, but I assume you guys just want some dinner?" And we smiled and nodded so he let us in and fed us yummy vegetables and nachos with beans and soy cheese. And we caught some awesome free live music.. it was kind of like mellowed out blue grass. They had my 2nd favorite instrument the banjo, and also the upright bass which was really fun. How cosmic is that?
I'm glad the weekend is over though. I have the next four days off to relax, rejuvenate, heal, and spread the good word.
